Innovation in Harmony with Nature

Every day, consumers all around the world value healthy and natural products demanding at the same time nutritional value and flavor.

Thanks to the incorporation of Organic Awareness, we have the opportunity to satisfy these needs manufacturing excellent products and taking care of the environment at the same time.

Our Organic Beef is produced in a completely natural way, thanks to the co-operation of Tacuarembo | Marfrig Group with a select group of cattle breeders committed to the use of renewable resources, soil and water preservation, and environment protection for future generations. In our Organic Beef production we do not use synthetic or anabolic fertilizers, hormones or growth stimulants.

Cattle, raised in the open air and in large extensions of land, are not fattened with grains or other concentrated meals. Organic meat has a certified grazing origin, which guarantees lower intramuscular fat content, lower cholesterol levels and is therefore leaner and healthier.

Our Organic Beef is certified by Control Union Certifications, a prestigious Dutch company credited both in the EU and the US, which ensures the compliance with the most demanding international standards throughout all production stages, from cattle raising until meat processing.

Tacuarembo | Marfrig Group Animal Welfare Program
Animal Welfare refers to the concern for the well-being of animals. It is considered to be moral duty whereby human beings should avoid unnecessary suffering of animals.
Our company has incorporated state of the art technology and has invested in many renovation actions such as readapting the corrals, changing to non-slip flooring, building a modern stun box and the evolution of electrical stunning.

On August, 2004, Temple Gradin, PHD, an expert on Animal Science, visited Tacuarembo | Marfrig Group locations with the purpose of evaluating the progress and evolution that the Program of Development of Animal Welfare has had.
Dr. Temple Grandin, an expert on Animal Welfare visited our plant to help us improve our Animal Welfare Program.
The results of Dr. Grandin’s visit were very positive. There is a critical relationship between sanity and Animal Welfare. Therefore we have set ourselves the goal of achieving excellency in the implementation and set forth of the appropriate procedures to ensure that the Animal Welfare Program is successfully completed and thus obtain better quality in our meat and accompany our permanent effort in developing healthier products, safer for the benefit of our consumers and of course, our clients.
As to the adjustments of our processes, we have already incorporated new technology and have invested in many renovation actions among which we emphasize readapting the corrals, changing to non-slip flooring, building a modern stun box and the evolution of electrical stunning.
