Tacuarembo | Marfrig Group Personnel and Programs.
Following the world tendencies, and with a strong belief on non-discriminatory policies, Tacuarembo | Marfrig Group has an important number of women workers. In view of the above, we are very proud to say that in areas such as the Deboning Section, the Red Offals Section and the Packaging Area, as much as 50% or 60% of the workforce are women.
Our employees usually work with us for a long time, thus they become experts on what they do and participate in the innovation of our line of products. It takes the work of all our specialized professionals to create line of products that is competitive in today’s world.
Tacuarembo | Marfrig Group Training Program for people with special capacities.
During the last trimester of 2004, Tacuarembo | Marfrig Group undertook this program to motivate the incorporation of people with special capacities into our personnel, in areas where they can feel at ease and useful. Thirteen people integrated said Program, who experienced working in different positions and took training courses with experienced workers in the different areas. The outcome of this Tacuarembo | Marfrig Group Training Program for people with special capacities has been very positive; the trainees learnt how to make hamburgers and refined fat. Today, three of the members of this Program are formally part of Tacuarembo | Marfrig Group personnel and they work in a healthy environment with other employees.

Other Programs
Tacuarembo | Marfrig Group is currently working on implementing a new program to help the employees’ daughters and sons who wish to pursue their studies to get a University Education in Montevideo, the capital, by offering them housing during their first year of studies in the city.
